I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the Greater Boston area, and I have experience working with a variety of individuals facing challenges with unemployment, trauma, substance use disorders, mental health, violence including intimate partner violence, gun violence, gang violence, and race-based violence. My approaches to individual therapy include the person-in-environment framework, harm reduction, trauma-informed practices, solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and others. Navigating systemic inequities can be incredibly intimidating and challenging. I address how trauma, institutionalized racism, White supremacy, microaggressions, race-based trauma, violence, poverty, homophobia, and transphobia impact an individual’s access to healthcare, mental health care, housing, employment, and other services.
