About
I am a retired Social Worker. I enjoyed 25 years working in the school system in New Orleans and 7 years as the LCSW in a Community Health Center. I have a passion for helping individuals cope with depression, anxiety and trauma concerns. I also enjoy working with students with school adjustment concerns. I strongly believe that past experiences can be processed to help achieve a positive existence and enjoyable future. I also believe the knowledge I have obtained over the years can be very beneficial to an individual working towards licensure to become a License Clinical Social Worker.
I can provide support to families and individual coping with mental health and school concerns. I am a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor as well as a School Social Work Specialist. I have recently been EMDR trained and am interested in using that as a tool to work with trauma and depression.
It can be difficult coping with various forms of mental illness. It is important that one has complete knowledge about his diagnosis and the treatment plans prescribed. I can provide support with various interventions for anxiety, depression and trauma. Contact is virtual however, I will visit school sites in the New Orleans area if the space is provided.
