About
I believe that some of the most important work we can do in our lives is the work of deepening our self understanding. Whether you are navigating challenges in important areas of your life- relationships, career, spirituality- or coping with a specific mental health difficulty, such as anxiety or depression, I commit to working with you from a place of openness, curiosity and warmth. Therapy with me typically involves exploring your beliefs about yourself & the world, learning to be present with your internal experiences, clarifying your core values and developing skills for responding to situations in value-aligned, adaptive ways.
I use evidenced-based therapies while also tailoring treatment plans to your individual concerns. I have specialty training in the gold standard treatment for insomnia, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). Additionally, I am a level 1 iRest Yoga Nidra teacher and incorporate aspects of this practice of meditative self inquiry into therapy.
I appreciate the importance of taking a step towards self-growth and will meet you where you're at in that process. If you're interested in working with me, please visit www.slpsychservice.com to schedule a free 20 minute consult or feel free to email or call me. I am licensed in 35+ states to provide teletherapy and see individuals in person in Sugarhouse.
