About
I encourage self-awareness, understanding, and acceptance of emotions while teaching you how to regulate them. I help you manage distress tolerance, learn effective communication, and how to create and maintain healthy boundaries. I believe that self-acceptance and self-love are key to a healthy self-esteem and a meaningful life. I combine psychotherapy with life skills, teaching you how to transition from maladaptive coping to effective coping skills.
I do not believe in a “one-size-fits-all†approach to therapy, and I cater each approach to the individual’s needs and goals by working together to review your history through the attachment theory lens. I believe that a lot of one’s struggles stem from ruptures in attachment and unresolved trauma that eventually leads to a dysregulated nervous system.
I have experience working with complex trauma and anxiety disorders, and I am trained in CBT, DBT, and EMDR.
