About
Trying to figure out the next step can be overwhelming and lonely when we feel stuck. Whether we are trying to navigate relationships, personal and religious beliefs, or sexual/gender orientation- it can be hard! I truly believe you are the expert of your life, and believe the answers are within you. Sometimes we may know where we want to get to but feel the next steps to getting there are unsteady, unfamiliar or not even visible at the moment. Having a place to be able to emotionally process and break down realistic and meaningful steps can help to find clarity and find coping strategies that fit for you.
I'm passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community and offering queer-affirming care. My work stems from evidence-based practice such as MI, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (for PTSD). I take the lens that people are nuanced and complex, and getting to understand and befriend different parts can help use reach self compassion
Reaching out for help can feel scary or daunting. Knowing that it takes the first step to get to the next can be helpful. I value collaboration with my clients and making sure we are focusing on what is important to them, I also like to guide and help clients to dig deep and better understand themselves- and sometimes that means getting a bit uncomfortable.
What sets us apart
I provide affirming, collaborative therapy for individuals navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and identity exploration, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community.
