About
Are you feeling overwhelmed with life right now? Could you use better coping skills to manage life transitions, whether it is relationship issues, parenting stress, body image/confidence problems, financial stress, or work changes? I would like to help you develop coping skills that can help you better manage stress, anxiety or depressive symptoms. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, my goal is to help individuals, couples and families learn strategies for managing life stressors in order to increase their quality of life. Therapy is a collaborative effort that takes reflection, awareness, creativity and strength.
I have experience in helping those struggling with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, communication/relational issues, grief, substance abuse, and obsessive-compulsive disorder, as well as other areas. I have worked with all ages and look forward to working with those who are motivated to make positive changes to their lives.
I often utilize a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques when treating a client/family, though each individual will have a unique treatment plan. I find that a comfortable and safe therapeutic environment, as well as appropriate humor can make therapy enjoyable and successful.
