About
I strongly believe that you are the expert of your own story. I am not here to solve all of the issues, but to walk with you in finding the answers you need. I work from a client-centered and compassionate approach while also keeping you accountable and pushing you to reach your therapeutic goals. I strive to build strong, therapeutic relationships with clients. The most important thing about counseling is the client-therapist relationship. During my time at Ball State University, I have worked the following presenting concerns: sexual trauma, anxiety, depression, parent-child conflict, body image concerns, trauma, and grief.
In order to be a good counselor, one must be open and affirming to everyone's lived experiences. I aim to be culturally aware of all identities. My therapeutic approach includes cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and multicultural and feminist theories
