About
Do you feel like life has lately become a roller coaster? You find asking yourself, "when will this stop?" Life is like a journey and sometimes the path gets a little bumpy, but it does not mean that we cannot reach our destination. We might have to slow down at times and reassess our route and possibly take a side road, however, other times we just have to slow down and be there. Trusting can be difficult and at times scary, but it can also be rewarding. As a therapist, I have learned that relationships can be very powerful and can truly help a person heal.
"It's going to be a little scary, but it's going to be ok" is one of the most powerful things I have learned from a child. This phrase continues to push me to work with children of all ages, especially those who have experienced trauma. With play therapy, I can really understand their language and meet them where they are at.
Just like this child, I know that life can sometimes be scary, but not only for kids, it can also be scary for adults. I'm here to help that adult who needs a little extra support. I'm trained in EMDR and ARC to help that adult or child be the best that they can be. With love and compassion, healing can happen.
