About
If you're looking for therapy, we already have something in common. As someone who has had on/off therapy throughout my life, I understand what it's like to be in the client's seat and to struggle with mental health. Although I can never experience exactly what you have, I can understand your sadness, hopelessness, anxiety, shame, anger, and pain. I know it feels so weird to open up to a stranger, and it can feel a little weird for me at first, too, but it only gets easier from session one. Together, we can discuss your overall concerns, eventually start to dig deeper, and hopefully share some laughs along the way. LGBTQ friendly!
I offer a person-centered approach that focuses on unconditional positive regard in a judgment-free environment. I allow my clients to explore past and present emotions in a safe space. My style of counseling tends to be more conversational and casual-feeling rather than formal or activity-based. Colorful language and dark humor are welcome in my office.
If you are interested in working with me, please feel free to call or email Stillwater Counseling. I am accepting new in-person and telehealth clients and have availability that includes evenings. I'd love to hear from you! (Note: my cats will sometimes make appearances during telehealth appointments.)
