About
Grief is a natural response to a bereavement or a loss of any kind, but the distress you understandably feel today need not be incapacitating or unnecessarily prolonged. My approach will help you come to terms with your new reality, while retaining a healthy and positive psychological relationship with the loved ones you have cherished, but who are now no longer physically present. We will work together to establish new strategies for living a fulfilling and joyful life - a life that can be continually enriched by the happy memories of times gone by. A life of gratitude, rather than regret.
Losing a loved one - (or a home, or a job, or a relationship) - hurts. It provokes a host of difficult emotions, each of which contributes to that overall experience which we call "grief". Together, we will examine those different emotions and devise effective ways of coping with each of them.
I have had the great good fortune to have traveled the world throughout my career and have developed a special sensitivity to other traditions, other languages and other cultures. I have been enlightened - and humbled - by those experiences, and bring that "worldview" to all my personal and professional relationships.
