About
Asking for help is never easy AND we all need it from time to time. Hello, my name is Daniela Barrera-Barajas and I am a bilingual Spanish speaking therapist. I have 10+ years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. I am passionate about creating an empowering and culturally sensitive therapeutic environment for every person I work with. Whether you are looking to manage depression, anxiety, grief, family conflict, life transitions, or personal growth, I can support you in creating the skills to achieve your goals.
I completed my MSW at CSU Sacramento and received my master level training from the UC Davis Children’s Hospital, CAARE Diagnostic and Treatment Center, where I had the opportunity to provide therapeutic services to victims of crime and juvenile justice involved youth. I am fully trained in TF-CBT, CBT, TI-CBTp, and PC-CARE. I am knowledgeable in DBT.
I identify as a first generation Latina, full-time working mom. Like many of you I wear many hats, both professionally and personally, which has helped me understand many of the challenges my clients have or are experiencing. Overall, I am passionate about supporting people through their healing journey and I excited about working with you and/or your family
