About
My practice is about creating and enhancing a meaningful life. Through a belief that our disturbances--about ourselves, others or life in general - lead us to the doorway of wholeness, we work together to unfold and recognize that essence.
I use methods including mindfulness, Somatic EMDR,Jungian psychology, trauma-informed care, IFS/parts work, and attachment-based therapies to facilitate this discovery and healing process. Many of the thoughts and behaviors we find problematic are learned coping and survival skills. When approached with compassion and understanding, healing can happen.
I have over 30 years of experience working with issues around trauma, diversity, and fostering depth in life. I am particularly interested in exploring outer and inner diversity with those who feel marginalized from the mainstream. This could include unresolved trauma, ethnicity and race, gender, sexuality, and/or relationship difficulties.
