Coming to see a therapist is often a difficult and anxiety ridden decision. My job, as your therapist, is to acknowledge this and to help you gain a better understanding of what you are feeling and experiencing. Whether you are seeking individual or couple's counseling, we will explore, perhaps challenge, and hopefully find some resolution to your presenting problem.
My therapeutic approach is a combination of both family systems and cognitive behavioral therapy. This means that your cultural heritage, family constellation, and life experiences are explored for their understanding of who you are now. Cognitive behavioral therapy challenges thoughts and behaviors that are problematic and explores ways to modify or change the thoughts/behaviors.
