About
Psychotherapy alleviates suffering and expands your capacity to live a fulfilling life. It helps you to build stronger relationships, find satisfaction in work, be more creative, and achieve your goals - whatever they may be. Good psychotherapy works through collaboration; we work together to understand your experiences, memories and relationships in order to create openings for change. My practice is diverse across race, nationality, ethnicity, gender, sexuality and age. I believe that therapists must be sensitive to social issues and must bring into treatment an understanding of the suffering and trauma caused by marginalization. View 9 Photos
I am a graduate of the NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. My approach is psychoanalytic, but also is highly individualized. In my work, I adapt myself to the unique needs of each person. I have extensive experience in the treatment of trauma. I publish on issues of sexuality/gender and often work with the LGBTQIA community.
Suffering takes many forms. I have helped people overcome a variety of difficulties, including depression, anxiety and panic, trauma, grief, life and health crises, eating disorders, body image issues, self-harm, fertility problems, family/relationship conflicts, and impulsive behavior. I am a warm & relatable person. I bring that to my work with others.
