About
Have you struggled with feeling good about yourself? How does your perception of yourself impact your life? Each of us have lived experiences that leave imprints on our lives sometimes impacting our ability to trust, and connect with ourselves and those around us. I aim to foster a space in therapy that invites room for curiosity, safety, and also bravery in order to encourage---growth, self-discovery and healing. I work with both young adults and adults who are experiencing never feeling enough, or have experienced: trauma, self-harming behaviors, eating disorders, body perception issues, perfectionism and negative self-perception. For over 16 years I have taught yoga and meditation as a way for people to connect with their body. In our work together I use a mind body approach---meaning traditional talk therapy through a Psychodynamic lens, in addition to the felt-sense of the body or a Somatic/Nervous System approach---inviting a greater awareness of self and our responses.
As a therapist, I believe we hold our stories, beliefs, and experiences in our bodies--often impacting our perception of self, and ability to trust and connect with ourselves. This can translate into patterns and behaviors that may not serve us the way they once did. Our work together can offer the space to explore deepening connection, and trust with self.
What sets us apart
I help young adults and adults address challenges like trauma, self-harm, eating disorders, and negative self-perception. Using psychodynamic talk therapy and somatic techniques, I foster a safe space for self-discovery, healing, and growth. With 16+ years of yoga and meditation experience, I integrate mind-body awareness to deepen self-trust and understanding.
