About
I am a goal oriented therapist and use an integrative approach based on the specific needs of the individual. I use cognitive and psychodynamic oriented techniques in both short term and extended treatment. I provide treatment for individuals struggling with addiction as well as for their loved ones who are often impacted by the disease as well. As a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, I have ample experience in identifying and resolving personal concerns that can impact job performance. I work to help individuals find a healthy balance between their careers and their personal lives.
My specialties include generalized anxiety, postpartum depression, relationship troubles and those struggling with a life transition. I facilitate the development and refinement of each person's coping skills so that they feel well-equipped to handle future challenges. I am trained in EMDR which I have found to be effective in the treatment of trauma.
I offer home visits for new parents who may find it unrealistic to travel to a therapist's office while managing the demands of caring for their new baby. Please contact me if you are a new or expectant parent interested in receiving more information about this service.
