Asking for help is difficult, sometimes overwhelming. Most people are touched by anxiety, depression, relationship issues and even addiction at some point in their lives, either within themselves or a family member. I create a safe, relaxing and inviting space for you to begin dealing with these difficult, but treatable issues. Many people, particularly men, are socialized to ignore or never discuss their innermost feelings and worries. College students often struggle with questions about whom they are and whom they want to become. Parents often feel powerless to help their children. Together, we can work toward achieving your goals.
I have more than a decade of experience working with mental health and addiction as part of a team who provide psychiatry and holistic medicine, acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and massage. I use traditional talk therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a humanistic orientation to guide you to your own solution.
I also work extensively with addiction and recovery issues including intervention, assessment and referral to higher levels of care, and working with families touched by addiction.
