I believe that most people who see a counselor are not psychologically abnormal. My clients are having normal reactions to a complex, stressful, ever-changing world. No matter the problem, people cope in the best way they know how. My job is simply to help you become more effective in your coping. Because so many people have busy schedules, I provide services in the evenings so that my clients don't have to create any more stress in their lives.
I have extensive experience working with people who have experienced trauma. I've helped people move past events ranging from car wrecks to childhood abuse. Having trouble from a traumatic experience just means you need a little extra help to heal.
I believe in helping my clients see results. My approach is very direct and honest, while maintaining warmth and a sense of humor. I believe it's disrespectful to try and protect my clients from their pain, and I work very hard to help clients face that pain, so that you can get the life you want and deserve.
