About
I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of South Carolina. I am certified in EMDR and use other therapeutic techniques in order to help people move through the injustice that they have faced. I have a passion for working with people who have faced trauma, are suffering from PTSD, and for working with adoptive families. Helping families to navigate this wonderful, but also difficult, transition hits close to home as I have two adopted children. I lived in Ethiopia for 8 years and was very impacted by the lack of mental health services available to the community.
I use a variety of approaches when working with clients. I am very much a client lead, person- centered, and solution-focused therapist. I also integrate EMDR into my practice.
I enjoy working with adolescent, teenagers, and adult clients. I specialize in trauma- focused work but also enjoy working with clients with other conditions such as depression and anxiety.
