About

Hello! My name is Kaela. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in Colorado with 3 years of experience working with adults. Additionally, I received my master’s degree in mental health counseling. This has given me a wealth of knowledge on how to provide supportive and individualized treatment to support individuals. I have a passion for working with clients who identify as BIPOC and have military backgrounds, as well as clients who are experiencing grief, struggles with their moods, or coping with trauma. The foundation of my approach is humanistic, and person centered. I want to work on what you find most important. Through this, I also utilize evidence based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. Together, we will decide the best approach and style that suits your needs. “When you can't look on the bright side, I will sit with you in the dark” - Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Together, we will work to accomplish your goals and I will provide support for you, even if we have to sit in the dark.
