About
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in Play Therapy and Activity Therapy for children and preadolescents with a variety of presenting concerns. I also work frequently with adolescents and adults in the context of traditional talk therapy. I earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas. Prior to joining North Texas Counseling Associates I trained at various outpatient and inpatient settings, including Cook Children’s Medical Center, gaining extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of emotional and behavioral concerns.
I work to meet clients where they are, supporting their growth toward increased self-awareness, emotional regulation, and reducing their overall distress in a safe nonjudgmental space utilizing aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My speciality involves operating within their developmental abilities utilizing play and activity therapy.
