About
I have over 20 years experience using evidence-based practices, primarily CBT, to help clients gain relief from their symptoms or concerns. I provide a safe environment for individuals to clarify feelings as well as learn new tools such as communication skills around feelings, and coping skills. I specialize in working with adults, and young adults on issues such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, anger-management, school issues, and relationship issues. A native of New Orleans, I hold an MSSW from UT Austin, an MA in Education from Stanford University, and a BA in Anthropology with a minor in Ethnic Studies from UC Berkeley.
I see many clients who have had therapy before as well as many clients who are new to therapy. I try to remove barriers to participating in psychotherapy by having many appointment slots available before and after a typical work day, and on Sundays.
Reaching out to a new therapist can be challenging even if you have done it before. Please feel free to contact me by phone or email, whichever is more comfortable for you.
