About
I view counseling as a partnership between the therapist and the client. My goal is to first work with clients to support them in identifying obstacles in their lives that are keeping them "stuck" or blocking them from experiencing the life they want. These obstacles may be negative thought patterns, maladaptive behaviors, or belief systems that eat away at their sense of self-worth. We then work together to develop new paths over, around, or straight though these blocks.
In addition to individual counseling, I facilitate a divorce support group for adults who are considering, in the middle of, or have experienced divorce, separation, or a breakup from a spouse or partner. The group focuses on healing emotional wounds resulting from the end of a marriage/relationship and developing positive coping skills.
I offer affordable rates, flexible weekday and weekend hours, and a safe therapeutic space in which there are no right or wrong feelings.
