About
Hi! I'm Lou. I work with queer and trans young adults. Therapy can be challenging, but it can also be beautiful and healing. It is my goal to meet you with compassion, support, and a safe space to help you through whatever difficulties or pain you may be experiencing. As a part of the Queer and trans community, I understand how important representation and connection is. Of course, we all have our own unique stories. Your story is not my story, and my story is not yours. However, I find that it is incredibly helpful (and dare I say, healing even) to have that common understanding and shared experience with my clients.
Many of my clients are taking the first steps in processing childhood trauma and challenges. They might be navigating family disconnection or have had negative, abusive, or toxic experiences within church/religion because of their gender or sexuality. Perhaps they are experiencing significant life transitions and just need some extra support along the way.
Finding a therapist is a big deal. It is important to me that I feel like a good fit for anyone I work with. I encourage you to take a look at my website to learn more about me and my practice. If any of this resonates with you, feel free to reach out to me for a free consultation. It would be an honor to be a part of your journey in this way!
