This thing called life takes us on many different seasons! In those seasons, we as individuals, go through many changes and often need help to adapt to those changes. My job is to help you feel at ease processing changes during those hard times. By giving you tools to help you, whether that is with anxiety, depression, body image, or trauma we will work together to find what tools work best with you. Using an client-centered approach, I allow you to lead our sessions where my role will be to support, and help you explore your own insights by reflecting your thoughts to help develop a deeper self-awareness.
My therapy of choice within the counseling field is cognitive behavior therapy (CBT). Why do I choose this type of therapy? I believe negative thoughts, lead to negative emotions, which then lead to negative behaviors. By using CBT tools we learn to reframe negative thoughts which will prevent negative emotions and behaviors.
