Melissa Petersen, LMFT, works to help those struggling with the pain of past traumas, family dysfunction, and interpersonal conflicts to build compassion for themselves and others in order to heal and move forward in their lives. Melissa helps individuals, families, and first responders experiencing trauma to rebuild and return to normal functioning through the use of Client-Centered Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
Melissa has specialized knowledge, experience, and training in working with men and women first responders and the families of first responders. Melissa understands the impacts that being a first responder can have on an employee and their family. Melissa also has specialized experience working with ADHD in adults.
