About
I'm not like other therapists you may have been to. My dedication for helping others has been fueled by the adversity in my own life. I want my clients to be themselves in my space. I won't tell you what to do, but I'll walk with you while you figure out what the best route is to meet your goals for a healthy life. I enjoy working with young adults and adults who are motivated to find a solution to alleviate their depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and self-harming behaviors. I have experience working with BPD, pornography issues, infidelity and betrayal trauma, and general life transitions.
I have a particular interest in helping individuals rebuild a productive life after incarceration. Reentry can be difficult for some-particularly if that includes supervision by probation and/or having to register as a sex offender. I have a special interest in helping anyone who is registry impacted-including family members adjust to their new life.
My clients appreciate the space I make for their emotions and healing. I use dialectics (two things can be true at once) to assist them in managing BIG emotions. I am skilled at identifying cognitive distortions (thinking errors) and challenging those with a no BS approach. I appreciate humor-even the dark kind-believing that laughter is good medicine.
What sets us apart
Dedicated to empowering clients on their journey to well-being, I specialize in supporting young adults and adults navigating depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, self-harm, and life transitions. I offer experience with BPD, trauma, and registry impacted individuals. My approach integrates dialectics and cognitive restructuring, fostering emotional processing and challenging thought patterns with directness and humor.
