Hi there- I'm Rachel I am a therapist in Illinois with eleven years experience working in various community mental health centers in the Chicagoland area. I graduated from Northwestern University in 2014 with my degree in Counseling Psychology with specialization in Child and Adolescent populations. I specialize in treatment of trauma (trained in EMDR), depression, anxiety and relationship problems, anger issues. I have worked with couples, individuals and families. Some treatment approaches I lean on include internal family systems, EMDR, attachment-focused and psychodynamic. I am culturally sensitive, LGBTQ+ affirming :) I have worked with individuals of all ages, while specializing in work with adolescents and emerging adults. I have extensive experience working with complex trauma, anxiety/depression, adjustment/life transition issues. I would say I have a knack for those who struggle to open up in more traditional therapy. I ask great questions! I'm a millennial therapist working out of Chicago. I am currently working with Grow Therapy doing billing and scheduling. I have a big heart, great sense of humor and pride myself on being able to meet clients where they are at- sometimes we come to therapy not always sure of what we want to accomplish, other times we have more identifiable goals.
