I look forward to assisting those curious about taking a closer look at their life and the problems that come with it. We will work together to better understand where these problems started and what we can do to address them. This may sound intimidating to some, but you will be surprised how it feels more like a conversation than anything. Comfort in our sessions together will always be a priority first and foremost. It is normal to feel stiff or awkward at first, after all, you are talking to a stranger about the most personal things in your life, so take your time.
Once we are no longer strangers, we will tackle as many problems as we need (even some that you may not know were there). There are no expectations for sessions, just come as you are and we will figure out the rest together. Homework will rarely be given, only suggestions for further reflection.
I have a background studying psychology, philosophy, and counseling so my therapy approach is influenced by theorists across these disciplines. However, you don't have to know anything about these subjects to benefit from therapy. Please give me a call, email, or text if interested in getting started.
