About
So many of us want and need validation. I have clients express relief when they hear they are not alone with how they feel or act. Some just want to be heard...to have someone truly listen. Many struggle with low self esteem or feel awkward in social settings. I believe a person’s physical well-being is related to their emotional and spiritual self. If one is out of sync, it affects the rest. Everyone wants to be happy! I am prepared to help individuals find their own happy and healthy balance in life!
I assist clients with reducing anxiety, and stress, improving mood, coping with diagnostic symptoms, and educating on conflict resolution. I provide tools for my clients to function on a better level, whether it is at home, work, or school. Upon request, I incorporate yoga therapy into sessions for those who suffer from Depression and/or Anxiety.
I have been a Shreveport native all my life. I found my passion for counseling while working as a Tax Accountant for Willis-Knighton, and realized I wanted to help people who were hurting or struggling in some way. Instead of pursuing what was expected of most accountants, I began working on my Master of Arts in Counseling and Guidance and have found fulfillment in my career ever since. In addition to decades of life experiences, I have over 15 years of experience working in the field of mental health, providing counseling for individuals, couples, and families.
