About
When you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed to the point it is impacting your day-to-day life, it helps to talk with someone who is both kind and practical — offering hope and nonjudgmental support, but also collaborating with you on finding real solutions. We all need a guide sometimes when life is hard. I am the type of therapist who will provide validation when you need it but also encourage you to take charge of the things within your control. I work with adults who are experiencing anxiety, stress, trouble communicating with a partner or family, and job burnout. In particular, I enjoy working with educators at all levels.
My approach to counseling is straightforward and caring. I am an active therapist and offer guided practice for you to complete outside of sessions. I believe in identifying strengths and solutions. I use a mindfulness-based approach that emphasizes living your values, in spite of difficult or unwanted thoughts and emotions, to create change in your life.
I care about my clients and believe we can all live a meaningful life by focusing on our values and what is within our control. Therapy isn’t always easy, but the life you want to create is in reach once you are ready to take the first step. I invite you to get in touch! You can reach me via secure text at spruce.care/lmswstephcrandall, or by email.
