My clients are those who feel frustrated due to recurring negative thoughts or behaviors they struggle to change on their own. We work together to improve these harmful patterns that can seem like a never-ending loop. To help initiate change, my therapeutic style utilizes a humanistic and person centered approach emphasizing trauma informed care. This approach centers our work on harmful thoughts, emotions, and behaviors so we can work on the whole person to identify areas of need, allowing the opportunity to support those who have been feeling isolated or stuck.
My treatment areas include all areas of life function, but I commonly work with client's suffering from depression and anxiety. My work with couples focuses on identifying negative feedback loops within the relationship. I also treat bipolar disorder, personality disorders, trauma, PTSD, difficult life transitions, and identity and gender concerns.
An initial goal is to create a space that is comfortable, safe, and productive. I work to develop a rapport with each client through three main areas of support: listening, validating, and challenging. I enjoy developing trust with each client as we work towards goals together.
