About
Hello, I'm Naomi "Alix" Burke. I welcome clients of various identities and do not discriminate based upon gender or sexual identity, race, ethnicity, religion or non-religion, class, political affiliation, monogamous/polyamorous status, substance use or sobriety/recovery status, or level of education. I primarily see adult and teen (13+) clients for individual therapy and provide couples/relationship therapy on a limited basis. I love helping clients explore and better understand the nuances of their own diagnoses and identities, develop and reinforce self-worth and self-acceptance, and improve coping and executive functioning.
My goals are your goals: to understand your strengths, behaviors, emotions, and thought patterns, move from ambivalence to action, reconcile seemingly contradictory beliefs and circumstances, re-write your story, and build the skills needed to live an authentic life aligned with your values. We'll do therapy together, person to person.
As a late-diagnosed neurodivergent adult and member of the Queer/LGBTQ+ community myself, I know how hard it can sometimes be to reach out for help, let alone find mental healthcare that honors and affirms your identity. If you are looking for a therapist who will provide support without judgment, please reach out!
