About
With background and advanced training in both mental health counseling and sport, exercise, and performance psychology, I enjoy collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds who are motivated to find a deeper sense of purpose, meaning, and peace, gain insight, and more adaptively respond to life experiences. Clinically, I specialize in the treatment of chronic and acute stress and trauma, particularly as it relates to adverse childhood experiences. From a sport psychology perspective, I work with performers to cultivate resilience, respond more adaptively to sport-based stressors, and find enjoyment in sport and exercise.
I am a provisionally licensed counselor in West Virginia and I am an EMDR-trained clinician. I am also a Certified Mental Performance Consultant, where my focus is on mindfulness-based approaches with performers. As a person-centered clinician, my goal is to create a therapuetic environment characterized by warmth, openness, and acceptance.
People have an incredible capacity to grow, change, and heal, given the right therapuetic conditions. I am passionate collaborating with people to create such conditions, and I believe that taking a step toward prioritizing mental health is a sign of incredible strength. I look forward to supporting you as you work toward building a more fulfilling life!
