About
I have worked with clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities within community health care environments in various roles over the past 10 years which has led me to become the therapist that I am today. I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Seattle University and my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Washington State University. Based upon my professional and personal experiences, I specialize in learning/developmental disabilities, anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment, grief, and co-occurring diagnoses. Above all else, I want you to feel safe and trusting of me as your therapist.
I am an integrated therapist that uses many different evidence-based modalities and techniques from a wide range of therapies. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and mindfulness in my approach.
Therapy is a collaborative relationship and your feedback on therapeutic techniques and modalities is crucial to successful treatment. Everyone is unique and has different ways of responding and processing the world around them, therefore it is important that we find which forms of therapy work best for your healing and growth and we utilized them together.
