About
My name is Dante Valvo, LICSW, MFT, I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been practicing since 2018. My practice is founded on warmth, humor, and a commitment to a strong therapeutic relationship. My approach is unique, rooted in Psychodynamic principles while integrating techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Internal Family Systems. I have extensive experience working in individual therapy, group therapy, and clinical supervision. I truly love what I do and am grateful to have received incredible education and mentorship throughout my career. I am both confident in and dedicated to my work.
Therapy is a collaborative and creative process. Clients often arrive seeking direct solutions, but our work together will go deeper—helping you explore your unique strengths, confront obstacles, and build a life that aligns with your values. With my approach, we'll aim to understand the origins of your challenges while creating a meaningful future.
Together, we’ll shift focus from what has happened to what is possible. There are many theories about psychotherapy, but one fact is borne out repeatedly in research and people’s experience: the relationship between you and your therapist is the most important element in treatment. Please don't hesitate to reach out —I look forward to hearing from you.
