My name is Jarod Johnson, I'm licensed as an LPC in both Texas and Colorado. I practice Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy, and EMDR, and I am a Qigong/Tai Chi and Yoga instructor. I find that focusing on a person's relationship with themselves is most fruitful in human healing or growth, which often occur quite simultaneously. I am a recovered addict and have both utilized with clients and benefited from the inclusion of 12-step models in various forms of psychological development.
I have a broad experience of work with clients from almost any demographic and condition. I don't specifically do any couples or marital therapy and I don't work with children but beyond this, I am supportive of considering how most any therapeutic relationship will feel to a client, and open to seeing if it is a fit.
It feels comfortable, accepting, and kind, and I don't tell people what to do as if I've lived their experience...we collaborate. Great sessions lend themselves to insight and catharsis but also, better questions.
