About
Many of us have been taught to be rational planners, as if mastery over our thoughts and emotions is a norm. In reality, life doesn't wait for us to neatly organize our thoughts and fully steady ourselves emotionally. Nor does life promise to be free of pain, even at the height of success. I can't promise to help you find an unbreakable peace of mind, or promise to help you find joy at will. However, if you're looking to redevelop your relationship with heart and mind, derive greater fulfillment from the full spectrum of your emotions, and choose meaningful directions in your day-to-day living, I'm here to take those steps with you.
I specialize in treating stress, anxiety, depression, and relational trauma, but also offer treatment for a variety of other presenting issues. While I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and often borrow from aspects of psychodynamic therapy, I also look to other perspectives or modalities, so as to best address the needs of each client.
As psychotherapists aren't exempt from the internal struggles of being human, I strongly believe that an open and collaborative approach greatly contributes to effective change. Life is a struggle, but you aren't alone in your pain.
What sets us apart
I help clients navigate life's challenges by fostering a stronger connection between mind and heart, and finding meaning in their experiences. Specializing in stress, anxiety, depression, and relational trauma, I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and psychodynamic approaches, tailoring treatment to individual needs. I value open collaboration and believe in the power of shared support.
