About
The key to emotional and psychological wellness lies in the balance of action and acceptance. The role of the therapist is to provide the client with enough unconditional support and practical strategies to attain this balance and achieve their goals. Because each client is different, I employ an integrated approach. I draw from person centered therapy, attachment/psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness.
I focus on a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, obsessive thinking, compulsive behavior, addiction, co-dependency, parental challenges, boundary making, and relationship issues. I also have experience working with members of 12-step programs and integrate step work into sessions when useful.
Regardless of approach, I believe therapy requires collaboration to be successful. To facilitate this dynamic, I provide a non-judgmental and empowering therapeutic environment.
