About
My name is Colleen Riedell, and I am a marriage and family therapist and I’ve been in practice for over 20 years. I see therapy as an opportunity to have a compassionate ear to listen to and support exploring things you want to change or struggle with. I use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and the concepts of attachment, addiction, and trauma recovery. I work with couples and individuals. I treat folks struggling with relationship issues, and mood disorders including depression and anxiety, trauma and addiction, and family dysfunction.
I try to have the therapy built on a relationship between us, one developed with a mix of honesty, compassion, and support, to allow you to do what you need to make the changes you want. I expect that together we can identify goals to work on in therapy, based on what is working and what is not.
I enjoy people, supporting folks making changes, and at times, working toward solving problems. I am encouraged by the courage of others to face struggles, grow, and change, and believe deeply that people are capable of change.
