About
I strongly believe in whole health- looking at the connection our minds have on our physical well being. My clinical work focuses on this mind-body connection: the use of behavioral and psychological interventions to help live a meaningful life in the context of coping with chronic medical illness and issues with sleep. I specialize in treatment of sleep disorders, including insomnia, nightmares, sleep apnea, and circadian rhythm disorders, cancer, and pain. I am also a subject matter expert in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), the 'gold standard' treatment for insomnia.
I received his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Arizona and completed my clinical internship and postdoctoral training at the VA San Diego/University of California, San Diego psychology training consortium. I received board certification in Behavioral Sleep Medicine in 2021.
I have a passion for helping people live meaningful lives (including sleeping well!) and am looking forward to discussing your specific needs during a free 15-minute phone consultation. I place a strong emphasis on creating individualized treatment plans using best-practice evidence supported treatments.
