About
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and have a Masterâs in Professional Counseling from Texas State University. I have been a practicing therapist since June 2018. I have worked with a wide variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, trauma, regulation, substance abuse, and communication, and interpersonal relationships. I have worked primarily at agencies and have helped individuals and families in crisis as well as providing traditional individual therapy. I have worked with children (7+) to adults of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures. I am also able to provide therapy in Spanish.
My theoretical orientation is an eclectic approach of Person-Centered theory, Existential Theory, and EMDR, and regularly use of Animal-Assisted Counseling and Sand tray techniques. I strive to help people be the best version of themselves, regain attunement with themselves and others, and address underlying issues that effect the present.
I like to seek out truth and awareness, and have a diverse background personally and professionally that facilitates connection and understanding with others. I'm a good fit for people that want to address issues holistically and/or focus on doing work on a few select topics or events. I'm also a good fit for many culturally diverse people.
