About
As a second-generation woman of color, I have extensive experience working with clients from various diverse backgrounds. Some of my specialties include PTSD, complex/intergenerational trauma, religious trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, family/relationship conflicts, postpartum issues, self-esteem, stress, etc. Coming from a community health background, I invest in the needs of clients that come from traditionally underserved communities. I also have considerable experience and strengths in spiritually-integrated holistic psychotherapy, incorporating values one holds into their therapeutic needs and goals.
My clinical approach is integrative and holistic, meeting the client where they are from a non-judgmental and warm perspective. I primarily work from a relational psychodynamic and trauma-focused lens. I utilize multiple therapeutic approaches including psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, mindfulness-based, spiritually-integrated, strength-based, culturally-sensitive.
I strongly believe in a collaborative approach to strive towards one's goals. Being vulnerable takes a lot of courage, and deciding to begin therapy can be challenging. I look forward to supporting you in making your goals more accessible and bringing upon meaningful change, walking through life as the most aligned version of yourself.
