About
When I was a kid I swore I'd never have the same job that my mom had. Being a therapist sounded like hard work with trying to understand theories and analytic terms. However, over the years I came to realize that listening to people talk about what's on their mind doesn't feel like work at all! It feels like the most natural thing in the world to me. Creating a space for people to feel comfortable and safe talking about anything they want, without fear of judgement, is why I'm here. If I can help others feel like they're not alone and have someone on their side, my choice to follow in my mom's steps was a success.
My background includes 12+ years working with families and children in the therapeutic foster care system. Additionally, I spent several years working with adults in therapy through telehealth as well as in person at a community mental health center. Prior to pursuing my career in social work, I earned my certification in teaching preschool Montessori.
Finding a therapist who is a good fit can be very daunting. My style is informal and I do not focus on using any specific therapy. Instead, I try to focus on providing a place where people can freely talk about their feelings, struggles, losses, traumatic experiences, or anything on their mind. I approach each person with compassion and authenticity.
