About
I have been providing cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and other evidenced-based therapies since 2009. My specific expertise is in the treatment of adults with anxiety, depression, and adjustment/stressor reactions. My practice focuses on the use of therapies and techniques that have scientific support for their effectiveness. In particular, I have expertise in CBT, mindfulness, and acceptance-based treatments for a range of emotional disorders. In my clinical practice, I prioritize building connection and safe spaces for my clients while providing them with access to individualized, evidence-based mental healthcare.
I have been active in the leadership of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, and I am a professor in the Psychology Department at Suffolk University where I teach doctoral students about psychological disorders and CBT. I formerly worked as the Director of the General Mental Health Clinic at the VA Boston Healthcare System.
I received my clinical psychology doctorate from Boston University in 2008. At BU, I trained at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders, an international center of excellence for CBT. There, I developed expertise in CBT for adults with panic attacks, social anxiety, specific phobia, OCD, generalized anxiety, worry and depression.
