I believe humans are complex and unique. I believe clients have a range of motivations for seeking help for themselves. Some clients simply need a place to hear themselves work through certain topics, while others need new skills and coping strategies, and some need more time and reflection on the joys and sorrows of their lives. Clients want to be "seen" and "heard" and perhaps more importantly, validated. Personal meaning is important to explore and define, and understanding what motivates people is essential of having a good therapy experience. Most importantly, clients want to be treated with dignity and respect. I have 33+ years of experience in a wide variety of areas. I believe that the mind and body work together and that one cannot be fully addressed unless both sides of this are functioning well. I offer my clients a high skill set of training and education, but importantly, I offer them self-determination and autonomy.
