About
Hello and thank you so much for taking this very important step in your healing journey. My name is Shonta and I absolutely look forward to connecting with you. The past several years has created an unexpected shift in a lot of our lives. More than ever now we are talking about our mental health and the ways we are struggling to adjust to the ever-changing society. Be it home or work stressors, your relationship, depression, parenting, a teen trying to avoid peer pressure, or a Veteran trying to work through trauma, I can help you. My goal is to change your perspective on therapy and provide you with a positive, healthy experience.
I specialize in both mental and behavioral health, trauma, couples, families, teens and also Veterans as I too am one. I utilize various therapeutic approaches specific to your individual needs. I am very relatable and I offer a safe, collaborative, realistic and creative, non-judgmental space for you to be yourself while on your healing journey.
My goal is for you to become the best version of you. I know how difficult it is to acknowledge that something is wrong, and that seeking help is okay. It's never fun having to work through things that are uncomfortable but on the other side of the discomfort is a place that allows you to exhale, feel lighter and free. I look forward to helping you.
