About
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults to address issues of depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, low self-esteem, and trauma. I enjoy the process of truly getting to know clients, learning their stories, and collaborating with them to use their strengths to positively impact their wellbeing. I have worked in a variety of social work roles and settings, including agency-based child abuse prevention work, community mental health, medical social work with clinical supervisory experience, and private psychotherapy practice. This varied background shapes my active, problem-solving approach.
I often incorporate a variety of approaches with clients, based on their needs and preferences. I am a certified master level practitioner for accelerated resolution therapy and I am also a trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy trained professional.
The decision to pursue therapy for yourself or your child is an important one. Ultimately, the most important factor related to a positive therapy outcome is the quality of the relationship between the client and the therapist. Please reach out if you would like to discuss how we might be able to work together.
